Anne Gallagher of Gallagher Consulting Group, Inc. and I recently
conducted a workshop on how to use intuition and the science
of influence to make decisions and persuade others to
follow for the Ohio Society of Association of Executives. L
to r: Anne Gallagher; Mary Anne Knapke, CAE, Executive Director,
OSAE; me; Chris Moore, Director of Dental Services, Ohio Dental
Association; and Chris Hashimoto Merritt, Executive Director,
Ohio Association of Broadcasters.

I am honored to work with the #1 PAC in the nation,
the National Association of Realtors PAC, as well as, some of their state
chapters such as the Connecticut Association of Realtors. Here are representatives
of the CAR at NAR's RPAC annual meeting in Washington, DC (l to r) Bob
Fiorito, CAR RPAC Chairman; Congressman Rob Simmons; and CAR RPAC Trustee
Deborah Cronin.

I always stress in
my presentation skills coaching that visual aids are more than Power
Point! Here, TSG client Lisbeth Lyons of the U.S. Telecommunications
Association demonstrates this by her
funky tennis shoes. . . aptly, the title of her talk was "Grassroots
on a Shoestring." Her hand outs matched the shoes, so her audience
is more likely to remember her key points. Nice work!
Sometimes grassroots
professionals just start to look and act alike. Here, Susan Goodman
(l) of Southwest Airlines and Debbie Proctor (r) of Cinergy Corp. listen
intently to a story at my client dinner in St. Petersburg, FL.
Grassroots has
to be fun! Here, Meaghan Killion (l) and Kathleen Nelson (r) of
the International Dairy Foods Association test their member company
representative's poltical trivia acumen.
In between several after-dinner parlor games with clients and friends
at the Public Affairs Council's 2000 National Grassroots Conference.
